I'm at CO and doing high-altitude diving in summer. We need 6mm wetsuit even
in summer. Some people dive with drysuit in other seasons.
Just wondering what size of wetsuit is recommended for diving in CA water.

I think wetsuit itself is not expensive, but the storage is troublesome, and
the rental is usually the same with or without wetsuit. So I don't want to
invest in a wetsuit yet..

Do you have any preferred gears?
There are cheap masks, fin and snorkels. But the good ones are still
expensive.
How about BC and regulator? I believe I'll use rental for a while.

I don't think I will buy any other gear in the near future, since any of
them is expensive, and I can't imagine to keep a tank in my home all the
time ...we have to go to dive stores anyhow (to get refilled, at least), so
I will just keep renting...

altitude en route to the dive site. Accordingly, the numbers in the dive
table may be interpreted differently. For example, depending on the actual
altitude, you may be a B diver even before your first dive, and 80 feet deep
may correspond to 100 feet at sea level. I never used a computer, so can't
comment on that.
