support the ecosystem and is perfectly integrated with software.
You can beat Apple in hardware specs or operating system features, but
right now no one has a comparable ecosystem or a more reliable/polished
overall experience. Every app, game, accessory gets released for iOS
first and iOS has so much exclusive contents, that is why Apple is
making more money than Amazon, Samsung, Google, HTC, and Motorola
combined. You can probably throw ZTE and Huawei in there as well.
Apple is using its massive cash supply to dominate the supply chain and
squeeze out the best prices.
Unless Android vendors can unite and create one unified ecosystem, they
have no chance. They are all too busy trying to push their own
ecosystems like Samsung Appstore, Amazon App Store etc to stand a chance
against Apple. Piracy is a huge deal on Android as well, iOS developers
are paid a lot more for their work as a result.
Also, mainstream users are looking for a simple, trouble-free
environment, being able to customize widgets/desktops/live wallpapers
don't mean much in the end. You can sell a ton of low/negative margin
products (LOL Kindle Fire) and make your market share look good, but you
do not make any money doing so.
With iBook 2 and iTV, Apple is looking to have even more exclusive
contents and lock us into nirvana! | t***s
