的。

等他上了daycare，所有的都陌生，开始的时候才不好混呢。。。

发帖数: 1760 | 9 我们家宝贝22个月，去daycare也不怎么会说英语，就会 no stop yes, ok, Ms Ann,
Jingle bell, 一直是姥姥老爷在这带她，说的都是中文，本来都会要求上厕所，去了
后，喊几次老师，听不懂估计，也没有回应她，就又回到完事了才叫我，不过天天都很
高兴。问老师能听懂她的指令吗，说有时候可以，有时候不能，不过她是个很快乐的孩
子，唱歌，跟小朋友玩得很好。 |

发帖数: 153 | 12 谢谢大家的回复，我也只能慢慢给他找玩伴了，现在他爷爷奶奶带，他们不开车，也不
说英语，而且地方有点偏僻，唉，想着2岁后送是因为他现在已经potty train了，但是
早送去，daycare里的阿姨不会管他的，除非到2岁后还有希望继续。
有经验的爸爸妈妈们，让孩子接触一些什么基本用语，去daycare能稍微好适应一点呢

a music class so he has some english exposure (started when he was about 14
months), and I also bought the "qiao hu bubble english" (sorry cannot type
chinese) dvds and have him watch that a little bit each day. by the time he
started day care (19 months), he knew a few words in english (like hello,
hug, colors, shapes etc, simple stuff) but is quiet familiar with the
intonation, I think that helped my son adjust himself to the day care
enviroment.
When the day care center had the spot open, he was 19months, we could let
him start either from the toddler class ( 15 months to 2 years) or wait till
he is 2 and start in the "young pre-schooler" 2's class, but the day care
director suggested that we have him start in the toddler unit, becuase there
the teacher to student ratio is higher so each kid gets more attention. And
since most toddlers cannot speak yet, the teachers are putting a lot of
efforts teaching them simple words, so even though my son started as an
older toddler in the toddler class, the language emphasis the teachers put
there would help him pick up english. That really worked very well! In the
toddler unit, I saw the teachers repeat words loudly and clearly and real
slowly. Like if they were eating their breakfast, the teacher would say:
This is XXX's cup! Then put the kid's hand on the cup and repeat: C~U~P.
Now that my son is in the 2's class, the teachers start to read stories and
talk a lot more faster, if I had him started in the 2's class directly, it
would have been a lot more frustrating for him as all the other kids
understand what the teachers say.
So I think maybe you can send your son to the day care earlier?

之前在法国的累死daycare，家里是中文。
语言环境太复杂，现在三岁了还不是很乐意讲话。
不过在daycare熟悉的很快，能听懂一些指令了。
没办法，只能让小孩自己去锻炼。毕竟小孩和大人学语言不一样。

发帖数: 4509 | 15 my son is a chatterbox, he talks all the time since he was like 14, 15
months. of course when he was younger, he was just making a lot of noisies
babbling instead of talking meaningful sentences. by the time he started day
care, he was able to use sentences in chinese, and that's part of the
reason why we were concerned as he likes to express himself so much and gets
grumpy sometimes if people don't get what he wants to say. I do know kids
who are quiet and not really that interested in expressing themselves, so I
guess as the parent, we just need to try our best from our end.

当时班上他是比较大的，大部分美国孩子还没开始说话，他们开始说了，他就pick up

现在送，别把娃给憋坏了
我儿跟lz这个情况差不多，也是两岁从国内来，英文啥也听不懂，扔进去几天就懂老师
的指
令了，很快就听得懂老师说话。不过哭还是哭了好几个星期，最坑爹的是，后来他喜欢
的老师走了，就每天送都哭，不想去，后来没办法换了一家。

很快的。倒是让孩子多玩，多和同龄人接触才是重要的，等天气好了，多去户外玩 |
