GlaxoSmithKline’s ￡170 million Bioscience Campus will act as a leading
centre in innovation in biotechnology and drug development. The project is
to be funded by the Government, the Technology Strategy Board and EEDA, the
Wellcome Trust and GSK.
Due to open in 2011, the science park will house 25 companies and is set to
create 1,500 new jobs within the scientific industry. These staff will play
an integral role in reaffirming the UK as a global hub of the life sciences
