month his doctor change it "Diovan Hct Tab 160-25MG" Does it mean he is
getting worse? I found online this pill has many types from "80-12.5MG" to
320-25MG" what does those NUMBERS actually mean. My dad is 57, is the blood

发帖数: 1009 | 2 Diovan Hct is a combination blood pressure medication (Diovan +
hydrochlorothiazide). So basically the doctor kept the diovan dose the same
while increased the dose of hydrochlorothiazide.
I don't know what your dad's usual blood pressure readings are, so I can't
comment on what stage of hypertension he is in right now. I'm guessing the
doctor wanted better control of his blood pressure (probably the reading
taken at his recent office visit was a little bit high?), so the doctor
doubled the HCTZ
