the highest toss i did, even not in practice games, was at
4-star Berkeley open, i played against east coast 300 pounds+
larry, i was behind, i tossed a ball higher than those
championship banners, he returned, i smashed to get one point..
i did that only after i gave up the hope to come back. | c****1

i never pratcised high toss serve alone, just used for practice matches, so
at the
first 4-5 years, it was hard, my toss was getting stable after 2006 or 07...
i started to add backhand high toss only after 08, still not consistent yet.
i think 3-5 meters are the best height to toss.
i have had over 15 types of serves,which i normally try out at the first 1-2
games until i find out the few serves which are most eff

的越高，越难；这可以用力学理论来解释。所以在业余圈里发高抛，存在的一个隐
患就是容易被对方挑接直接攻击,然后就手忙脚乱了...
但我看顶级专业的比赛中，很少有人用挑接来处理高抛。我的猜想是专业的反拉/反
撕能力很强，所以挑不出高质量反而被动，还不如摆。不知道是不是这样？ | c****1

or
served to a point right away.
i like to high toss serve in tennis too, like Sarapova, one time one 4.0 guy,
an alumnae from east coast, stopped by foster city right after he flew to
SFO,
i had very bad experience, since that day was the windest day i ever played
tennis on...

in tennis, the racket totally missed touching the ball) or return too high.
think about the space is 3-dimensional, besides top/down, left side/
rightside spins,
we have screw spins, it is relatively easier to serve screw spin with high
toss.
