The National Institute on Aging (NIA), a major research component of
the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Department of Health
and Human Services (DHHS), is recruiting for a postdoctoral research
position in the Receptor Pharmacology Unit of the Laboratory of
Neuroscience in the Intramural Research Program (IRP) located in
Baltimore, MD.
The aim of the Receptor Pharmacology Unit is to a) investigate how
receptor function in the brain alters with aging or neurological
disease and b) target therapeutics to these altered receptor states.
The candidate must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in neuroscience,
animal physiology, or biology with less than five years of
postdoctoral experience. Candidates should have a background in
neuroscience, molecular biology, rodent behavioral techniques,
transgenic mouse models, and/or animal surgery. We aim to create a
technically diverse, dynamic and enjoyable research environment.
