’s research group in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of
Michigan. Research in the Zhou lab focuses on the development of statistical
methods and computational tools for the analysis of large-scale and high-
dimensional biological data from genetic association studies and functional
genomic sequencing studies. Recent work includes: Bayesian hierarchical
models to quantify genome-wide inheritance, Bayesian sparse regression
models for risk/phenotype prediction, mixed effects models to control for
population stratification, multivariate models to jointly analyze multiple
correlated phenotypes, and QTL mapping and allelic specific expression
analysis. The See http://www.xzlab.org for more details of recent projects and publications.
Position Qualifications: Applicants should have, or be studying for, a PhD
in statistics, biostatistics, computer science, bioinformatics,
computational biology, or related quantitative discipline. A strong
computational background is required. Knowledge in Bayesian statistics is
preferable but not required.
Application Information: Applicants should send a CV, a short research
statement, and names of three referees to [email protected]
/* */ Review of
applications will begin immediately, and continue until the positions are
filled. |
