I guess some ppl don't want to seek professional helps because:
- money: you have to have good insurance plan to cover the costs of
prescription, counselling therapy, otherwise the costs will be skyrocket. Even
you have good insurance plan, you still need to pay copay each time, which
will not be a small amount. Besides, the effect caused by seeing a doctor will
be long term. Even just one time counselling may change your personal medical
history and cause higher

I strongly believe clinically depressed people, at least if apply to the
oversea Chinese students, have more conscious. They are depressed because
they are morally better! They can not forget their responsibilities.
If they could, then they would have been happy, like a lot of irresponsible
people do. Depression is eating them alive by degrading their productivity,
results in jeopardizing their responsibilities instead! O

And why bother to divide ppl as good, better and best? everyone is equally

have.

You put two new words, "good", and "best", which I didn't use at all, in
addition to the word "better", which I did use. You set up a straw man, and
tag my name on it.
I used the word "better", in a phrase "better than normal", which is very
commonly used even in American school. Almost every kids can have a "better
than average" on his or her report card.
What I said "morally better" clearly meant "having more conscious". Both

1. Sports, especially swimming can relieve depression. Because when people are
doing physical work, they won't think of too much about their trouble-maker.
Someone also suggests running around a lake or ocean, where you can see
sunrise and sunset, then you will realize how trivial your problem is
comparing the nature...
2. Take a shower, get a beer and go to bed. this is simple and effective for
me :-)
3. Take Vitamine E...It's said to be good to our hearts. I don't really k

| l**d 发帖数: 99 | 12 The turning point is when the true reason is spotted. I kept on seeing this
psychologist and one day I came to a point of being very happy. She assessed
my emotion figures and said I was like a normal person. My mood had changed
dramatically. She asked why. I said, I just realized that I have to help myself.
I am tired of being miserable and unhappy.

| l**d 发帖数: 99 | 14 Seeing professional help is definetely necessary. I have friends telling
me they would listen to me bitching free of charge. But it is different.
The psychologists do not just sit there and provide their ears only. They
would give some suggestions.
And with them, you can tell them whatever you want without worrying they
are going to hold this against you, ever.

| l**d 发帖数: 99 | 15 I have to pay $45/hr with the insurance I have. But I do get six free sessions
each year. I met a really good psychologist. She taught a lot of techniques.
Like stop thinking about the stress whenever I feel so. Like more excercise.
Rationale the bad situation. At the end of the six free sessions, I changed
into a much happier person. Of course in the course of those three months,
my life changed a little bit.
