Strategy: Asian Quant Long Short Equities
Our client is a global private asset management firm/family office ($
10Billion+AUM). The fund focuses primarily on discretionary long/short
equity investing and makes significant quantitative and macro investments.
About the Due Diligence Team:
The firm’s Due Diligence group is responsible for ensuring that the firm
continues to live up to its reputation for hiring best-in-class investment
talent. The successful candidate will conduct deep dives on prospective
investment employees who will focus on Asian Quant Strategies.
Responsibilities:
The Candidate will corroborate and evaluate the backgrounds, technical
knowledge, aptitude, character, pedigree, and upside potential of
prospective equity, quant and macro analysts to ensure that they meet
rigorous professional and ethical standards. This evaluation is accomplished
via an exhaustive due-diligence process with a focus on external data
points. The Candidate will be expected to write detailed reports of findings
and articulate recommendations to senior management for, or against, the
hiring of candidates. Candidate will report to the Director of Due Diligence
and senior management.
We seek candidates with:
· Fluency in Mandarin
· Strong Track record of academic success.
· Preference for PHD or Advance Degree in Math/Science/Statistics
· Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly develop
rapport on the phone.
· Willingness and eagerness to commit to learning the investment
management business.
· High level of curiosity, skepticism and objectivity.
· Rigorous attention to detail and organized thinking.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Sound judgment and the ability to work independently and
cooperatively |
