标 题: 女儿大学了，我要不要回国做几年

我父母年纪大了，想就近照顾最后几年。有一个美国上海公司的OFFER，LOCAL HIRE，
年薪大约70万人民币把，犹豫要不要接受。还有不知道中国的税是怎么交的，还有外国
公民的医疗保险怎么样的。帮我问问有相似经历的说一声好吗？谢谢 |

发帖数: 2264 | 2 没有人有类似经验吗？要是EXPAT就毫不犹豫了。还有呢，就是公司只付中国的社保，美国的social security and med care不付的，也没有401K，我自己得付IRA，我将来还是要回美国工作退休的，想想还是很犹豫。

I am more worried about health insurance, tax, and retirement. i dont have time to post resume now, I need to give answer next week or so. plus there is no short tern disability and medical leave. They can lay me off if I get sick or injured.

发帖数: 2264 | 6 401K is not that important,but health insurance is. I dont want to be sick
in the hospital and losing my job and health insurance at the same time. I
just thought it is a good opportunity to be close to my parents after left
them for over 20 years. Care taker is not the same.

If you get really sick, you may lose your job and then insurance except for
short-term disability. |

发帖数: 2264 | 10 Not the same. In US, if you get sick or have an accident when you have a job
, after all sick/vac days taken, first, short term disability kick in, which
pays about 60%-80% your salary up to 6wks; after that then long turn kick
in, pays about 40%-60% salary depend on the policy. You can also take a
family or personal medical leave without pay, they have to keep the position
open for you when you come back. Even when you get laid off or get fired,
you are entitled COBRA, which has the same coverage as you employed, just
has to pay more premium yourself. Regardless, you wont lose health insurance.

the company for discrimination.If there is written policy, I can assure you they will be forced in US. US labor law and labor department are very serious about protecting workers.

expenses are not very high if you choose not to.
I would go if I were you under the condition that my family agreed. But My
family would not allow me for sure unless I am retired.

保家人的话， 最便宜的只有4000美元一年， 具体的你自己去谈一谈， 个人认为不超

就算你是中国人， 但不是本地户口， 社保也是个玩笑， 记得外地人医疗社保可以
claim的只有几千rmb.

管你的工资的。
我觉得你不符合中国的社保申请， 符合了又怎样？ 生病确实可以病退，工伤可以领工
伤工资， 每个月不超过几千rmb, make no sense to you

在医院上不了班，你自己这时候就买不到保险了。

他们本可以留在美国的，自己不愿意。我觉得我负责自己的生活，难道我在中国生了病
再让他们为我操心？他们生活没有我也不错，我父亲离休老干部，看病不用钱的。你不
用给我带大帽子，这么说的话，父母在，不远行，我们这些出国的都是不孝的。我也是
做母亲的，能看到孩子当然好，但主要还是在孩子能过的好的最重要的。

用会很低。这种保险应该会包海外，即使不包，生了大病就回美国，小病中国看就行了
，很便宜。美国的保险是不能断的，否则保险公司会拒绝给你保险。

能自己买short term or long term disability吗？ 医疗保险可参照yyhu。
