昨天去北京签证，还挺顺利的。准备的材料基本上就是按使馆的要求准备了一下，特别
叮嘱小外甥带几张我们以前的合影。
大概的过程就是：
你去看谁？舅舅
你舅舅做什么的？工程师
哪里上班？XX公司
他回来过吗？07年回来过一次
有照片吗？有
你现在几年级？高一了
你和谁去？我一个人去
爸爸妈妈为什么不去？工作忙
爸爸妈妈以前去过美国吗？妈妈去过，爸爸没去过
为什么上次你不去？考试呢，没时间
你对美国大学感兴趣么？还没有考虑过（这个问题比较tricky，我原来邀请函上还专门
写过，不过后来有朋友说B2签证就是B2，不要谈这些为好，所以我们特别就这个问题讨
论过。）
下面是我给签证官的信，供大家参考。

Dear Visa Officer,
I'm writing to support my nephew's application for B2 visa to visit the Stat
es. His name is little snow and he is my sister's son.
I am a Senior Engineer working for XX Company. My wife, our two kids and I l
ive in XXXX.
I would like to invite my nephew to visit us this July and August during his
summer vacation and I plan to take him to travel around to DC and New York
and have some fun with us during his stay. My nephew is 16 years old and is
going to be a high school junior this coming September. This is great timing
for him since next year he will be facing tremendous amount of pressure fro
m school going into the senior year.
Little snow is a great kid both at home and in school and has travelled with
his parents extensively in China. I believe it's a great idea for him to ge
t exposure to a vibrant but very different culture and expand his understand
ing of the States and also the world. I still remember my first internationa
l travel experiences when I was in college and certainly have benefitted gre
atly from the trips. My parents have visited us a few times in the past year
s and travelled with us to many cities around the States and they completely
agree with me that this will be a great experience for my nephew to benefit
in the many years to come. I hereby assume all the responsibilities associa
ted with his visit and guarantee his return to China after the visit.
Attached please find the following documents in supporting their visa applic
ations:
- Travel Itinerary
- Employment Confirmation Letter issued by HR
- The most recent paystubs (May 2011)
- Bank Statement (as of June 2011)
- A copy of my passport
This is a family reunion I planed for a long time. Your kind consideration

发帖数: 473 | 4 又没有提供你姐姐（妹妹）的经济证明，房产，工作等的背景材料
还有孩子的在学证明，成绩等
我侄子7月打算过来看看，15岁，父亲一同过来，也想过单独签，但感觉困难..

我这边出具的东西邀请信上都写了，工资单，公司人事上的证明，银行的一些
statement，护照，EAD，邀请函（给外甥的，给VO的），让他们准备了一些照片什么的
感觉很容易
