看着板上一堆堆得牛人,每天都跑步,很羡慕。我现在刚开始,不太敢每天都跑,第一
身体累,受不了,第二怕受伤。

Rest is also part of the key component of training.
It gives your leg muscles time to repair and recover
in order to get stronger.
Run everyday is not a good idea, although some people do it.
I usually cross-train on Monday, and rest on Friday because of
Saturday's long run.

Resting is a relatively term. I've been on a running streak for more than a
month now -- 6 miles recovery run being the minimum (except for one day when
I got injured and only did 3 miles). Resting for a day or not, we are
talking about 46 hours vs 22 hours of recovery time. Just like how you could
double your mileage with training, you can also shorten recovery time with
training.

一般每周至少都要休息一天, 如果周mileage不高, 完全
可以每跑一天, 休息一天, 你查一下smartcoach, 我觉
得对新手来说非常好用, 输入自己的目前的成绩, 和剩下
多少周比赛, 每周希望跑多少迈, 一个计划就出来了。。。
smartcoach的30-54迈plan, 每周也只跑4天。。
每个起点不一样, 不用生硬的模仿别人, 我去年也基本上
每周20多迈跑了半年, 每周只跑3天到4天。。

I agree you can shorten recovery time with training.
So recovery time is age- and level-related.

开始先一周跑个三天好了,慢慢加距离到5迈,5迈,7迈,然后增加到4天,5天,6天。
每周最好还是歇一天,毕竟不是职业跑步的。
贵在坚持,坚持跑个一年就比较不错了

you did not strictly follow AM plan this time?
I agree, the recovery time can be shortened with training. last year before
CIM, I need 3 days rest after long run.. hehe, this year, I can run the next
day.

I'm following AM 70-85mpw plan minus the 4-mile pm run on Mondays. The AM
plan would say 8 runs per week including a double on Mondays.
