照例long run, 今天按计划是20迈, 可以算是peak week的最后一天. 以后接下来的就
开始tapering了.
The Goal:
1. Break in my marathon shoes for their longest run so far.
2. Body "mechanic check" for the big day.
3. raise my confidence.
The Preparation:
最近吃的少, 体重一周内降了不少. BMI到21.3. 昨天没忍住大吃了一顿, 直达晚饭
也不饿, 于是skip. 睡前开始肚子叫了, 忽略之. 早上起来很玩, 很惭愧的9点才开
始跑. 跑前怕顶不住, 吃了两个peanut cups. 这个甜阿..
The Weather:
气温大概60F上下, mostly cloudy, 有风. 因为是loop course, 所以基本上一半是顶
风, 一半顺风.
The Course:
Poplar Creek bike trail. 一圈大概8.8迈, 所以跑了两圈+2 plus miles. 我几乎

they are only numbers. the good news is, time will work in favor of you.
that is, if you keep running, you are gonna qualify at a certain age group.

羡慕,啥时候我这样BMI26的胖子才能一下子跑20M啊。
周末计划跑8.5M,最后一MILE是走下来的,腿很沉重很酸就不敢PUSH,怕受伤啊。

when I ran my first marathon six years ago, BQ pace sounded ridiculous to me
. It would wear me out running
just two miles at that pace. I couldn't imagine what it would take to run a
marathon at that pace. It turned out
that all it took was six years of running.

it's not surprising to me at all. webfish was able to run 9mph for one hour
on the treadmill last year - he
already had the cardiovascular fitness, just needed a little time to
translate it into road performance.

At the beginning, anything will do. I suffered a severely sprained ankle in
2007, was out of running for three
months and rebuilt from zero. Since 2008 I've kept at around 40mpw on the
average, and my weekly mileage
got higher this year. Initially you improve quickly, and then you may hit a
plateau at some point and you may
need to increase the mileage. Some say that in order to improve consistently
at the marathon distance,
55mpw is required.

not really if you are dedicated. you only need to spend a couple hours a way
to do 55MPW

just so you know, most marathon pros do 130mpw or higher. 50, 60, 70mpw,
these are all pretty amateur.:)

俺也HOPE 昨天的LONG RUN 是MARATHON 算了, 不过18MILER 下来 也跑不动了。 年轻
的ROBIN 说是能接着用7:05PACE 跑完, 很强大
