will feature a new Wave Start and Start Corral process to facilitate a more
efficient and convenient race day experience for all participants. This
includes three significant updates that you should be aware of:
There will be two separate Start Waves (Wave 1 and Wave 2); Wave 1 will
start at 7:30 a.m., followed by Wave 2 at 8:00 a.m.
All participants have been assigned to a specific Start Corral (Elite
Development, Corral A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K, L or M)
Participants assigned to Start Corrals A, B, C, D, E and Elite Development
will start in Wave 1 beginning at 7:30 a.m.; Participants assigned to Start
Corrals F, G, H, J, K, L and M will start in Wave 2 beginning at 8:00 a.m.
What Start Corral have you been assigned to?
You can look up your Start Corral assignment by going to the Online
Registration Confirmation Page. For best results, enter your first or last
name only.
What is your Start Corral assignment based on?
Assignment to the Elite Development Corral and Start Corrals A, B, C and D
is based on submitted proof of a qualifying time
Assignment to Corral E is based on charity program affiliation within
Charity Village
Assignment to Corral F, G, H, J, K, L and M is based on the expected Chicago
Marathon finish time that you submitted when registering for the race. If
you did not submit an expected finish time when registering, you have been
assigned to Corral M.
Can you change your Start Corral assignment?
Yes. You still have the opportunity to change your Start Corral assignment.
There are three ways to change your Start Corral assignment:
To gain entry into Start Corral A, B, C or D (Wave 1), you must submit proof
of a qualifying time in the form of a result certificate or race result
page via fax to 312.904.9808. Qualifying times must be from a marathon or
half marathon run between January 1, 2010 and August 17, 2012.
To gain entry into Start Corral E (Wave 1), charities within Charity Village
must confirm your affiliation with those organizations.
To gain entry into a different Start Corral within Wave 2 (Start Corral F, G
, H, J, K, L or M), you must submit your estimated Chicago Marathon finish
time by clicking on the link below and filling out the form.
If you are satisfied with your current Start Corral assignment, you need not
