我英语很烂，所以一上去就强调要Vote No on SCA-5. 然后用了那个同一个家庭不同
种族的孩子申请大学会得到不同的对待的例子，强调它ridiculous. Staff同意这个很
搞。然后问我的姓名地址。我因为不在她的选区，就强调我的很多朋友在她的选区，我
们都有同样的concern。
UTC的朋友，赶紧拿起电话，连我这么害羞的人都可以，你也可以的。

schedule meeting的方式，争取最近能和78区的选民代表一起去和她分析利弊。 |

Dear Mr. XXX,
I am writing to strongly urge you to vote NO on SCA5. Simply put, this bill
is against our constitutional belief that all people are equal, as well as
against the American dream that "life should be better and richer and fuller
for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement
regardless of social class or circumstances of birth”. The fundamental
flaw of SCA5 is to reward people simply because of one’s skin color. If
passed, this would turn the wheels of the history backward!
As a father/mother of two calling XXX home, I care deeply about the future
of my kids. The last thing I want is to have to tell them that something is
out of their reach just because of their skin color or ethnicity. I noticed
that most people who commented on the internet opposed SCA5. Those are 2
comments I found.
“I am very sad by this proposal. I am Korean adopted by a Hispanic family.
Looks like all my siblings will get a better chance to get to college but me
. How stupid this is! ”
“What about painting my kid brown to get enrolled at UCSD/UCLA/UCXX?”
Moreover, having underprepared students on campus would greatly dilute the
quality of education. The professors would face the difficult choice of
either failing the students or lowering the standards. This is a lose-lose
scenario that no one should ever contemplate to damage our elite UC system
― remember it costs a lot more to (re)build one than to destroy one! Going
to college is a privilege not a right. You have to work hard to earn a spot.
Having ALL students evaluated against the same standards, regardless of sex
, race, color, creed, or national origin, is the only way that is fair,
legitimate, and good to our future as a community.
We are all against entitlements, aren’t we? Should we reward hard work or
give a certain group of people special treatment? Are we really doing good
service to these members in our community by giving them special treatment?
What kind of work ethics are we trying to instill to them? Keeping the door
open only for a selected group of people denies equal opportunities to
others! All along I have been teaching my kids that with hard work they can
reach their full potentials. Please, do not shut the door and crash the
dreams of my kids!
In short, I urge you to vote NO on SCA5, because it is the right thing to do
!

要，你要明白我的concern，这个时代人人都可以通过网络媒体互相影响，我有朋友和
同事在你的区域，他们也会给你打电话或者行使投票权的，这件事在亚裔社区已经成为
热议，你收到的电话只是开始。。。。。。（好像黑社会。。。。）
