She got a 10-year visa (B1/B2) from US consulate at Hong Kong.
However, on her I-94 Departure Record (when she entered US), it says -
Oct 08 2009 (entry date)
Class B2
until Apr 07 2010
i.e., that seems to be a six-month visa.
Does she need to extend her visa before six months?
If so, what is the best way for her to extend her visit in US?
1)File Form I-539 and pay the fee for extension
2)Go to Mexica or Canada (Does that mean when she comes | M*******c

Regarding 2), I just read on this URL -

"You can not go to neighboring countries(Canada, Mexico) either by air or
road, and come back to get a new I-94 and therefore avoid the lengthy
process of applying for extension. A new I-94 will NOT be given. ... You
will have to actually travel outside of North America and come back."
I have never heard that before. Is this true? Does it apply to Hong Kong
citizens (who have got 10 year multiple entry vis | o**y

人家欧洲国家的不要签证随便来，每次也只能呆几个月的

You came to US on B visa for tourism/family visit.
Apparently if you don't leave for some time, you
can't come up with a good story to prove you don't
intend to stay in US.
