An Oakland woman was charged today with murder for allegedly smothering her
2-year-old daughter out of frustration because the little girl wouldn't stop
crying, a prosecutor said.
Tiffany Lopez, 19, will make her first appearance this afternoon in Alameda
County Superior Court in Oakland in the death of Kamilah Russell.
Lopez initially told Oakland police that she had accidentally sat on Kamilah
