dell part. Just like Apple, nobody considers Ipad's quality problem Hong
Hai's problem. Dell's strategy is very similar to Apple, though with quite
different results.
China can make the best parts, can have the best assembly lines. It is
what these brand names design, and how they quality control the
process that makes the difference. Apple did a fantastic job. Dell is
completely falling behind in every aspect, even with consideration of the
performance/cost ratio.
Specifically the noise from dell PCs probably qualifies as an environment
hazard these days.

charges 2-3x more on their proprietary parts than generic parts. it would
not increase any production cost for dell to use the generic parts. but
dell intentionally choose to make its parts incompatible with what is
generally available in the market so that they can charge you more for the
low quality parts and then again for replacement and repair.

count on generic parts that much though.

fan is not judged by just how long it lasts.
I measured 5 dell pcs from 1 feet away in quite rooms last year. they
averaged about 50db I remember, after fixing the real roarers, of
course.

文科生吧，这种风扇接DELL主板上的话会降速，直接接的话风超大，因为扇子本身最大
功率很高。
主板降速后完全没问题。扇子质量很好没问题。
