不奇怪，老中做义工不积极，印印就比较精明，抢着在PTA当头和校长老师拉关系。所
以PA的大部分小学还是根据做义工多少分班。当然也有做义工多的分到差班，不做的分
好班的，不过这只是个别现象。听说PA有个小学的PTA老印占多数，在学校排挤不做义
工的老中家长和孩子，把公司那套延伸到孩子学校,PA不少老中孩子们在分班上吃亏常
常发生,因为老中做义工不积极。 |

各校的PTA每个月都有一个meeting, 除了PTA Board member外，PTA membership chair
，PTA Council Representatives也是从学校到学区都要认识。PTA Council
Representatives和校长老师要代表学校参加学区的meeting（通常在晚上);PTA
membership chair要负责membership database,这些information都要上报学区。PTA
membership chair和PTA Council Representatives比较适合working mom.
这些是我做过的义工，除了classroom volunteer外，学校PTA Co-president（和另外
一个妈妈一起做）, PTA auditor, PTA membership chair，PTA Council
Representatives, PTA Student Programs。在这些义工中认识了很多朋友，从朋友们
那里学到很多，当年和我一起做PTA 义工的两个妈妈就是现在的学区委员Barbara
Klausner 和Melissa Caswell 。 |

这些只是PA的情况，其它学区不清楚。
按学校政治观点正确的说法，分班安如男女生比例和上一年纪老师一些建议；但事实上
分班按家长对学校的贡献，PA的老师们都认为把对学校的贡献和关心孩子的教育化等号
。好老师会安排很多教学内容希望家长多involve一点。 |

老中应该多参与才对啊！政治不参与，所谓的参与就是在bbs上对骂。学校起码得参与

Many chinese's scope are very small. Only care about improving their kids'
technical skill. Team work, leadership, and contributions are considered as
secondary by many chinese. On the contrary, these are actually the
foundation for the increasingly sophisticated society and the essential of
building increasingly sophisticated products. It's not surprised many
chinese have very high IQ and great technical skill, but live in the
relatively lower end of the food chain.

generations in a democratic society.
Sigh, chinese has a long way to go.
