CUPERTINO -- Santa Clara County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a
home invasion robbery early Monday morning on Garden Gate Drive near North
Stelling Road.
Deputies searched the area near De Anza College for two hours for two
suspects, including one with a handgun, but failed to find them, according
to sheriff's officials.
No one was injured in the robbery.
Sgt. Kurtis Stenderup said that about 5 a.m. someone from the second floor
of the home called 911 to report yelling downstairs. Minutes later, another
person called 911 to report a robbery.
At that moment, deputies were outside the house, Stenderup said. They took
cover, expecting a possible confrontation with armed suspects. But deputies
determined the suspects had already fled. |
