Thank you for contacting my office regarding the Newby Island land fill. I
appreciate the time and effort you have put into raising awareness on this
subject. The Newby Island land fill application is currently scheduled to be
heard at the Planning Commission on February 11th, 2015. After the
application is heard the Planning Commission will discuss and vote on
whether to allow an expansion at the landfill. I will make sure to keep your
comments and concerns on record as this process moves forward. In the
