Dear CUSD Parents:
This message is a follow-up to the email sent on Friday, May 8, 2015,
regarding the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) employee
working at the Walden West Facility in Cupertino that has been arrested on
child pornography related charges. This message is included at the end of
this message for your reference.
The Mercury News has just reported that the Walden West employee that was

The District apologizes for this surprise announcement. Please be aware that
we have not been informed directly of this development and are trying to
track down information on the extent of the charges and any next steps
beyond the information in the news article.
As you may already be aware, the employee worked for the SCCOE and law
enforcement is conducting the investigation so we are not able to gather
information directly. We have also been made aware that the SCCOE is
conducting their own investigation into the operations at Walden West. This
information is available at www.sccoe.org, under “News & Facts.”
The District has six schools where 5th grade students attended one of the
two Walden West campuses during the 2013-14 school year and the 2014-15
school year. These schools are:
Walden West Saratoga Site
Meyerholz Elementary School
Walden West Cupertino Site
Eisenhower Elementary School
Montclaire Elementary School
Nimitz Elementary School
Stevens Creek Elementary School
West Valley Elementary School
The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Department has asked anyone with
information regarding this case to contact the Sexual Assault Felony Task
