是红的,但是同方向直行的灯是绿的.因女儿在后边不停的哭闹,我回头安慰了她一句,就
这短短的两三秒时间,等我再转过头的时候,左转的灯正由绿变黄,于是匆忙间我赶紧转
了过去,结果就被后边骑摩托车的警察逮住了,任我怎么解释,还是给了罚单,说我阻碍交
通,并且告诉我去法庭见法官,态度很差.
后来我又回同一路口走了几遍,发现在同方向直行灯一直是绿的情况下,左转的灯第二次
变绿的时候,即使我赶紧转,它也马上就变黄,也就是说,它的时间非常短,所以觉得应该
去法庭上试试.
不知道我的情况胜诉的机会大不大?应该怎么跟法官解释好些?多谢大家了. | c*****r

Never argue on the merits on a traffic court. Why? Because you are
pitching your credibility against the one of the cop, and the cop is always
more credible than you.
my recommendation is to hire a lawyer. they will most likely get the case
dismissed using some procedural tricks. not sure if there is still enough

刚刚跟网上有人推荐的律师http://www.obrienlawfirm.net/index.html联系了,告之结果可能会dismiss,不上driving record,或者最多交罚款124,不上record.律师费200.老公死活不同意,说大不了输了上record,也没什么.还是不明白,如果有driving record,会怎么样? 当然倾向于没有,第一张ticket :(

不知道自己帶個錄像機， 讓LD照下那個紅燈很短， 會不會對上庭有幫助。
在德州上過一次庭， 被吓的半死 (唉， 生平第一次）， 最後被dismiss了。

自己上庭defer交$150的话,是不是直接花200让律师去好些,至少不用提心吊胆的.不过
就是结果不知,尽管他说他会尽力.

the video by itself wouldn't establish that YOU started turning while the
light was green. And if the COP say that you started turning when the light
was RED, how could this video help? Remember, the COP is always more
credible then you.
lawyers are mostly usless, but sometimes they are usful, especially in a
case like this, when the DA is unlikely to prepare full evidence, then a
lawyer can use procedural tricks to get the case dismissed. lawyers never
argue on the merits. | c*l

show up , then move to dismiss. Most likely, neither will show up. Make
sure to file for discovery. Red light violation is very easy to defend as it
's all perspective. No need to hire lawyer. You can do it yourself.

是死定了,哈.
律师那边还没file,当然如果自己去可以有把握的话,我就自己去了.人生也算完整了一

发帖数: 127 | 18 You need to send in a written request or appear in person for subpoena. It'
s very easy. The court then will mail you a subpoena with Judge's signature
. You then serve the subpoena to the cops' place of work. You are done.
99% of the time, one or both will not show up and you will say to the judge
"Your honor, I move to dismiss the case as the subpoenaed witnesses are not
present." Learn to defend this yourself so you know what to do next time
you get a ticket. The cops are out of control. Lawyers are expensive($300?)
and should only be used in serious offense. Red light violation is
probably the easiest to defend.

errors on the police report to get the case dismissed due to lack of "
preponderance of evidence" even if BOTH show up.
