unless you have negotiated with them before you accept your offer,
otherwise, need to fulfill all below requirements before they would
kick-
off any process:
1. >= SDE II
2. working >= 6 months
3. Satisfactory performance (usually mean above average in your team)
4. get approval from your manager as well as director/VP
1,2 are hard requirements by HR
3,4 depends on your manager
the process is not automatic.
you need to ask your manager and director/VP to sign a form to kick it
off.
you can pay $1000 on your own to do premium process

题的话？如果一切都满足的话， 是公司的律师做Perm and I140 申请吗？是不是所有
的premium process fee 都是自己出？

they only thing you can do is to ask kicking off the process. they will
handle all others, eg. perm and i140
they won't pay for the premium process fee, but you can pay for yourself
in amazon, satisfactory == above average.
do you think "above average" is normal?

I just had my process started.
There is an immigration section under the employment tab in the home page of
the company's internal website.It'described pretty clear.
The only hard requirements are >= level 5 (or SDE II) and >= 6 months (unless
there is an exception such as your H1B is approaching expiration date or
special business needs). Other criteria mostly depend on your manager and
his/her relation with the directory/VP. Because you need signatures from
both. Then Amazon immigration team and the law firm will take over.
