Also, talking about Tahoe, it also depends on where you ski. If you ski
groomed like most Heavenly's trails, I don't think that you will enjoy
carving on a 100 mm waist. However, you may be right if it's at Kirk.
Again, if it's a dump day, powder skis are preferrable.

religious debate. I haven't tried Salomon Shogon yet, so I cannot say
anything about that. Maybe it's good too!
Yes, we are talking about all mountain skis especially the skis for big
mountains. And I think that we are also talking about one pair of skis that
can do cooking, laundry, shopping ... almost everything. I try demo many
new skis every season, and I found that AC50 performs better than others.
Besides, I am not a big fan of Salomon because I've demo-ed their 1080 Gun,
Foil, ... etc. and found that they are too soft, which is good for
recreational skiers but not professional ones.
BTW, FYI that AC50 handles 1-foot of snow very well. I am wondering that
you might be mistakenly talking about AC30.

observation: it is so powderful in those long arc turns, good in crud, ok in
powder, ok on grooms, no good in bumps or short turns. It is not a soft ski
so not a good option if you like to play some tricks. Lastly, heavy and
demanding, but can be very fun in those powdery days with long turns or no
turns.

I like skis with funcy looking,good jump and jib functionality. Bought 2010 line
blend with good deal. New 2011 line blend are built with rocker, that's why 2010 was on sale.
I may jump for a rocker next season if I save some money...

One of my best ski friends got a pair of 2011 shogun early this season.
He is the best carving skier I have seen in this small New England ski
resort. He skied about 20 yrs, >50 times per year recently. His
previous one is 2009 tigershark 8 foot (maybe that is the reason:)).
The shogun looks very pretty in the snow. He told me they are light,
works very good in crud, easy to turn in mogul, much better than 8 feet
in powder. But it is difficult to carve, to "trust the edge".
Hope this help for anyone looking for shogun.

around.
bought 2011 line prophet 100 (134-100-125) @ 179cm end of last season and
tried today in packed power groom runs at gunstock.
Awesome awesome ski for today's condition: short radius turn is easy with
perfect rebound energy; s-carve is easy to perform for controlling speed;
long radius carving (on blue and black runs) is unexpectely amazing: very
stable and easy to initiate; much better on some loose granules due to
larger surface area than my fisher RX8 (115-66-98). Haven't tried on icy,
but I suck on icy no matter what ski I use. Look forward for power or crud
to test.
I would use it as my single all-mountain ski for new england conditions.

(I am 180cm, 155lb. My 4th year skiing. skiied 30 days last season in new

carving的street racer，便宜deal就买了，我反正也搞不清楚到底carving有什么特征
，现在滑了几年了，发现没啥进步了，该换个板子，该上课了。而且从east搬到了west
，雪好些了。
你最后买了什么板子，价钱如何？binding和鞋如何？
我也不用太fancy的，板子加binding预算500如何？

functions。
优点是图案好看（相比volkl），好滑powder(宽100)，high speed well，soft，good
for jumping and switching,less expensive.
缺点是，can't handle ice, not good at short turns.
对于intermediate往上的，500的预算有点低啦，看你喜欢哪种板子了，主要在什么地
方滑？

800选择余地大多了，不过我也没滑过几副ski，所以也没什么好推荐。
买ski前，我看了看网上评论，尤其是youtube的ski review。我想对于我这种水平的
很多ski的细微区别我是体会不到的（如果果真有的话）。所以，youtube里面
人用那幅ski能做到的动作，就证明那幅ski能handle那个动作。要是咱做不到，
那就是水平不够，还得狠练！

发帖数: 263 | 83 阿妈大姐姐不是挺好的嘛。稍微贵了点，5百拿不下来。但是也不差一二百块钱。没必
要把预算定得太死。
我去年买的line prophet 90，在powder上不好。最近二个月在冰上，short turn什么
的，表现还行。
我觉得大众化的话，还是Salomon这系列的雪板比较好，选择比较多。volkl的雪板比较
适用于德国大波大PG美眉，力大体重的，像Lindsey Vonn这样的。：）

前认为最先进的设计了吧，不过这rocker还分前rocker后rocker全rocker的，好复杂啊
当然这800能搞定shogun加binding么？一般season后哪里有deal咧？我知道rei每年好
