4.cross country
7.camp fire
8.转弯时,“点点”地,so I look cool.

Ski poles are typically the last piece of equipment new snow skiers begin
using, but they are beneficial for balance and can assist skiers of all
abilities in recovering from a fall. When used appropriately, ski poles are
valuable tools in the sport of snow skiing.
Downhill ski poles are often misused in skiing. The purpose of your ski
poles is to help provide balance. However, you don't lean on the them or
rely on them too much. Ski balance should originate from your core abdominal
muscles, buttocks, and legs. How you place your shoulders while skiing
makes a difference as well. You want to keep your shoulders square to the
hill or in other words, facing the bottom of the hill.
Step1
Select the appropriate poles for your size. When turned upside down and
grasped under the basket, your elbow should form a right angle. This assures
the poles are not too long or too short.
Step2
Grasp the poles firmly. If you choose to use the strap to secure the ski
pole to your wrist in a fall, enter the loop on the strap from the bottom.
This prevents wrist injuries that can occur if the strap is placed
incorrectly.
Step3
Plant your ski pole during a turn. Use your left pole for a left turn, and
your right pole for a right turn. This maneuver enhances the balance and
rhythm of your turns. You plant your ski pole as you are initiating a turn.
You plant one ski pole at a time. For example, you plant your left ski pole
as you are turning to the left. And vice versa - you plant your right ski
pole as you are turning to the right. Do not lift your ski pole high in the
air. This is a waste of time and energy. Instead quickly and smoothly plant
it into the ground and remove it at the completion of your turn.
Step4
Use the ski poles as leverage when recovering from a fall. Situate your skis
perpendicular to the slope, and use both poles on your downhill side to
push yourself off the ground.
Step5
Push yourself along flat terrain with the aid of ski poles. Use the momentum
you gain from pushing with ski poles to carry you further in flat areas
while conserving your lower body strength.

to me, a board rider, the most important function of the poles is to keep
moving poking the ground in plain areas

To me, when I am a skier, one reason to keep the poles around is to pull the
asses of riders like you out of the flat
