小弟想做个中文网站，以前做过英文的，用的是notepad and wordpad。wordpad里虽然
可以输入中文，网页好像不能正常显示。请问老大应该用什么软件。我做的是很小的站
，简单软件就成，frontpage, dreamweaver可能太复杂了。多谢！ |

They are all pretty much light weight and good for personal use. Free as
well. |

不敢当，叫俺老小吧。现在都是为人民服务的阶段。另外，我研究来，研究去，发现最
羡慕的还是craigslist, 他们20个人，就温饱不愁了。老小也想往那个方向发展一下。只
要能够养家糊口，其实就行了。但，现在没啥收入，权当兴趣了。
有一些客户，都是找我做软件的，web based, 那些收入足够支持小站了。所以，也
不急着弄钱。。。
我最讨厌某些站点，像wxc之类的，到处都是广告，pop-up, pop-under, 两边, it is
like, you name it, we lose it. 唉。。。
不过，也难怪，像那些大站，估计都是有人投了巨资的， 所以，没有高的ROI是不行的
。这就是个要不要风投的trade off.
小站虽然难做，但慢慢来吧，现在就先养着，呵呵

开另外的源。 |

though. The guy was a development manager and got interested in making an
editor. Then, he started his business "inspired" by god. Details like, he
initially didn't quit his daytime job, but just doing this thing on the side
, but, he kept getting good orders, so, he thought it was god wanting him to
do it.
So, he quit his day job and devoted fully to it.
Good biz model to follow I think. |

software provider involve in politics so deep. I have used Notepad++ for 2
weeks one year ago. I like textpad much better. 90% of my programming is
done in textpad. I know a lot of Java Developers uses textpad. UltraEdit is
good too. But it is too commerical.

help pop-up, since it is free version.
I am also surprised to see Notepad++ has the boycott thing going on, I need to write a complaint to them.
Also, I think I am going to put up a support logo to my site as well for
Beijing 2008. |

发帖数: 2172 | 14 Notepad++ has put the message on their site for many monthes. Initially on
the very bottom, now moved to the top. The pop-up for textpad won't come out
often. Maybe once a few hundred times of use. An very good thing about
textpad is that you can find the file in the file system and right click to
open it. You do not need to associate the extension with textpad or use the
sendto. Very convenient.

switch to textpad. Especially, it really hurts my feeling being a Chinese,
that they put up such nasty message on their site... |

personal experience.
For notepad++, I put a message on my page so to let people know that notepad
++ themselves should be ashamed for their conduct, i.e., promotion of boycott Beijing 2008. |
