UTH来的一封信，内容大致如下：
...You have been selected as a recipient of an Outstanding New Student
Doctoral Tuition Scholarship for Fall 2010. The scholarship award is $5000,
which is available over a 12-month period during the first tewlve months.
The school will pay for the tuition and fees up to the award maximum stated
above. Funds remaining at the end of each term will be rolled over for
availability in each subsequent term until the end of the 12-month period. |

other factors. Pitt biostatistics has the greatest self in-breeding. But
this may suggest that they take care of their own gradutaes. UT Houston always
feels a little unconventional. |

Besides, I consider the factors other than academic too. Actually, people
say that the city of pittsburgh is safer than the city of houston, and for
me as a northerner, I prefer to live in Pittsburgh...
Anyway, if UTH TMC doesn't have any famous professor or other attractive
points, I will choose pittsburgh~~
What do you think of future career develop in both of the programs? My
opinion is Pittsburgh is close to East Coast where there are m

really outstanding biostatistics professors in MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Ask students in Houston if it is easy to connect to that group. Pittsburg
does not have that kind of resources. |

MDAnderson 的生统还是有些牛人的，而且是有在School of pulic health 念的人找MD
Anderson 的人做老板。 |

I see a lot of professors there are graduate from Pitts, that prove what you
mentioned before.
Do you think which place is good for future development? I mean Pitts is
closer to the East Coast, isn't it? Does this kind of resources helpful?

the major drrug companies. In PA, it is in fact a long drive from Pitt to
Philly area. |

But, I mean compared with UTH TMC, is Pitt better than Houston?
