"Prof. H. Vincent Poor appointed to named professorship
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to teaching and scholarship,
Prof. Vince Poor has been named George Van Ness Lothrop Professor in
Engineering. Prof. Poor obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from
Princeton in 1977. He spent the next thirteen years on the faculty of the
University of Illinois returning to Princeton as Professor of Electrical
