Apple Inc. posted higher quarterly profit, boosted by strong demand for its
iPhone devices and Macintosh computers in the holiday quarter as well as a
change in the way the company accounts for revenue from its popular smart
phone.
The Cupertino, Calif., company, which is widely expected to announced a new
tablet device this week, offered no clues about what it plans to unveil,
although CEO Steve Jobs indicated that investors should expect a significant
