Round milestones, the ones with many zeros, have traditionally been difficul
t for the Dow Jones Industrial Average to leave behind. The market hovered a
round 100 from 1906 until World War II — with a brief interlude in the 1920
s, when it hit nearly 400 — and it needed a decade and a half to break thro
ugh 1,000 in 1982.

this century after inflation adjusted which contradicts what you just said
Dow only rose with the same amount of inflation.

Unfortunately, at this moment we still have to worry more about deflation
than inflation in US due to the Americans' high indebtedness, though, China
has to worry about inflation due to its expansion having reached its
internal structure limit. | B*S
