HOUSTON (AP) - The 18-year-old son of a Houston police officer shot and
killed an intruder who, with another man, forced their way into their
suburban home.
Houston police Officer Ken Patmon says his son was alone at home Friday
afternoon at the family house near Mission Bend, about 20 miles west of
Houston. He says his son was on the telephone with him when he heard someone
pounding on the door. Seconds later, two men were in the house. One was
headed upstairs when Patmon's son shot him dead. Patmon says the other man
fled in a dark blue Nissan Sentra.
The teen was uninjured.
A Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office statement says investigators have no
detailed description of the fugitive intruder or the license tag number of
the getaway car.
