Corporation ("Western" or the "Company") (TSX: WRN) (NYSE MKT: WRN) and the
Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in ("TH") wish to jointly announce that Western's
wholly-owned subsidiary, Casino Mining Corp. ("CMC") and TH have entered
into an initial Agreement for Co-Operation in Project Assessment and Other
Matters (the "Agreement") relating to the Casino Project.
A portion of the Casino property is situated within TH's Traditional
Territory.
The Agreement commits the parties to work cooperatively to review, evaluate
and discuss the Casino Project and lays the foundation for establishing
future agreements relating to the Project. The components of the Agreement
will assist CMC and TH to maintain a mutually beneficial and respectful
relationship going forward.

As we get closer to construction, we have also been actively pursuing
options for financing the project. We feel optimistic about
the level of interest in Casino from potential partners, not surprising
considering the sheer magnitude of Casino – a billion
tonne Copper-Gold porphyry with an initial 22 year mine life, robust
economics, and fast payback. As the world’s copper supply
dwindles Casino’s value will only increase. For now, with our year-end cash
balance in excess of $16 million, we feel confident

already formed (almost month ago)
they will now guide tailings dam design feasibility and if necessary
recommend design changes, WRN expects design %90 will go ahead but there
will be some design changes.
tailings dam will reach its height around 20 years later.
recently they have proved that wetland will cleanup any excess metals from
water.
thats why once WRN enters screening , they will then soon after announce
financing (likely taken over here) since then they have to involve partner
for the detailed engineering.
Yukon goventment already doing its part for the access road and likely there
will be federal loan
since road will be used for the other miners in the area too.
even consultants hired by Yesab says nowhere else in canada they examine
mines like this.
Casino will replace Minto mine which is coming end of its life, so crew and
machinery will be immediately available to Casino. |
