c*****y 发帖数: 281 | 1 Hi I am doing research as a postdoctroal fellow:
Status: H1b
Arriving date: December 2nd, 2010
Never left America after arriving.
I am going to use treaty (artical 19) for tax return, but I am resident
already due to the 183 days rule. I know as a researcher for public interest
, I am still OK to use treaty based examption. but,
What form should I use? 1040-NR or 1040A?
One of my colleage has the same situation as me, but he used 1040-NR last
year and got 100% refund. | P****1 发帖数: 2670 | | c*****y 发帖数: 281 | 3 Thanks a lot! So not 1040A or 1040-NR, right?

use the "other income" line to use the treaty, and only 1040 has that line.
