like crazy, whenever they are in defense, they lose.

improved dramatically once she became less aggressive and used more safe

In 2007 she lost to Jankovic (26/46). She was overpowered.
In 2011 she beat Kuznetsova (63/61). She scattered winners all over the
court.

Peng shuai was a power hitter and she was proud of it, until 2010 her
coach Allen Ma made up an absolutely creative game strategy for her. Then
Peng shuai became a revolutionary icon for two-hand forehand.
You may say Bartoli is the typical two-hand forehand player and a better
player than Peng, but Peng has the most innovative game strategy and
style. The difference is physical.
Also please do notice that Peng never loses her ability to smash the ball.

I don't think anyone who s been watching wta would believe it.
actually JJ had commented on Peng's game:" some players just hit the ball
2 hard, actually if they could work on angle and spin, it will be more
effective..."
but i do believe JJ hit more winners cuz Peng constantly lost her position
on court because of her bad movement.

but Jankovic looked comfortable. I remember a Chinese word came up to me
for Jankovic: 矫健。
I never felt that Peng was a hard hitter. But she looked so different this
year.

发帖数: 775 | 13 i don't need a stereotype - i watched her play courtside this year in indian
wells and we chatted for a bit after her 4th round match with nadia. i
started to notice her in acura classic 2005, like most people.
there is no innovation in two-hands-on-both-sides. this is basically an dead
-end,odd and gambling play. every such player aspires to play like seles (
well, unless you are santoro - but that's a different story).
a better player of this style simply moves better. so she does not have to
reach out awkwardly with one hand that often. peng is better now only
because she lost some weight and can hang in the game for a little longer.
but her game is essentially the same - when she has time to land just one
shot, hit it super hard with aggressive angles; when she is being moved
around, end of the story. and her net play is lame, no matter how many
doubles titles she has.
