"yes" to the following questions. If so, you can apply for TAX ID for your
parents:
1. Citizenship Test: are your parents US citizen or resident alien, or are
then residents of Canada or Mexico for at least part of the calendar year in
which your tax year begins; If your parents are on B-1/B-2 visa and are
Chinese citizens, I do not think you can claim them as your dependents.
2.Gross Income Test: Is their income less than $3,650 per erson for the
calendar year?
3. Support Test: Do you provide more than half of their total support during
the calendar year.
If the answer is all Yes, then you can file Form W-7 for each of them to get

Caution: If they are US citizen for tax purposes, their worldwide income
will be taxed in U.S.

发帖数: 564 | 4 报税的时候，填一张申请表就好了，另外需要申请人的护照复印件和公证。。
你等到快报税的时候去tax版，就知道大概过程了，你现在也申请不了，不过在你父母
离开美国之前，把护照复印了然后公证一下。。
