I was at Casino. I just played with my card/position and make the educated

Anybody has comment on that? | f*****g 发帖数: 15860 | 2 tell is a big thing in live games.
face to face, ppl give away a lot of information (unless they're sneaky
enough to reverse it). even without any tell, you can see what type of a guy
he is, e.g., how he dresses, is he drunk, what type of casino member card
he carries (regular or not), educated or jerk, ... all these can help too.
one interesting hand a pro posted on last issue of cardplayer magazine was
in a 5/10NL game at foxwoods casino. he's up against a strong solid regular.

| s*********r 发帖数: 4210 | 3 good lesson. I always do that trying not looking directly at other plays on
river or all-in hand, when they are thinking. Next time, I will stare at
them directly, and pray they don't call silently. | w*********i 发帖数: 3092 | 4 My concern is tell can be deceivable sometimes. So use it with caution.
hehe, When I have a strong hand I will act like disinterested. | l**********t 发帖数: 269 | 5 in the recent high stack poker videoes, a few of them tried the reverse of
that. it is funny. they would act uninterested and engage in a
conversation with other players at the table and bet out with a really weak
hand and to make it look like they actually have a huge hand and acting.
that really makes poker interesting. :)

| f*****g 发帖数: 15860 | 6 lol, this is why i like to play some live games once in a while, it's
totally different experience... no stats to check, no misfold button, timer
is there but not as strict as online, dirty play "i can show you one card
for $100", trash talk "show me if i fold?", shaking nervous hands, picking
up chips as if going to bet/raise, misdeal, ... all could be nasty but also
fun.

| l**********t 发帖数: 269 | 8 that is also why I play live game once in awhile as well. but it could be
too much fun at times. we have a "high stacks" table at our home games
where the pot runs to $30-$50 pre flop and often ends up with $1000 pot. the
players at that table just love to gamble and tons of action all the time.
Goes all in with 27 off suite preflop or calling all in with Q4 off suite
are considered the usual there. exciting and fun and just too much. any
tips on how to play against those type of players?

| w*********i 发帖数: 3092 | 9 My suggestion is play tight when they play loose.
Also you need image when kind of cards will fall on the board.
Use the betting pattern and the betting size to guess what kind of card he
might hold.
If you have a good read of opponents from your observation, you can get a
better idea of they cards. | l**********t 发帖数: 269 | 10 I know play tight is a must but there are a few things I'm not sure how to
deal with at that table.
There are usually 3 total maniacs. and 4 super lose and aggressive players.
then one is relative tight and actually knows the fundamentals of texas
hold'em. and the owner of the place who has the tendency to bluff but is
forced to play a tight game due to this group of players. the owner is very
intuitive and has played poker for yrs but totally locking in the math
aspect of the game.

| | | f*****g 发帖数: 15860 | 11 i guess you should buy in short.
a full buy-in or re-load only gives a table full of LAGs too good implied
odds to play, and you can barely win if multiple looose players come in,
even AA will be cracked so often. you'll have a hard time to play with a lot
of otherwise good starting hands.
buy in short, play TAG strongly, shoves pre or at most on flop, play the
simplest poker, no trap (not worth it at all), no draw, no raising war...
knock them out a few times, they'll learn to calm down, then c

big cards), and cash out if you double up then join again, hehe. if they say
"come on, you can't always cash out", you can say, "as long as you guys
continue following your strategy, i'll follow mine".

| w*********i 发帖数: 3092 | 13 Yes, I agree on what fryking said.
Sit with max buy-in.
I would say play really strong pre-flop or flop, even shove all-in if you hit
a good flop.
Also play with position, mainly BB, get good odds for all-in with quality
hands. Suit connector(prefer low end) or big pair. | l**********t 发帖数: 269 | 14 Thx. I will give it a try. Friday again, poker night again. It really
feels like more gambling than poker to me at times. :)

Love it. Just sit tight and wait for a really good hand to push. They will

Yeah, sure, you will get busted sometimes if they get lucky, still it is the
easiest money you can make on a poker table playing with LAGs. Better than
you have a huge hand but without customers. | f*****g 发帖数: 15860 | 16 i have serious self control problems, and this is why i play against LAG
