a few limpers, i pop up to $11 with Ks6s at LP, BTN (a super chinese whale)
calls, 2 limpers call.
flop: Qd7s5s
check to me, i make $18 to go, whale calls, MP (a LAG PLO player) calls.
turn: Qs
PLO bets $35, i call, whale calls.
river: 6d
PLO checks, i bet $35, whale suddenly raises to $100 (he's super weak
passive but cannot lay down any pair or TP), PLO calls.
i have $250 left, whale has $200, PLO has $500. | p****r 发帖数: 9164 | 2 I would call against whale.

| f*****g 发帖数: 15860 | 3 that's what i thought too. he almost never raises a pot on the river, <1%.
but he rarely slow plays a monster as big as flopped set either.
after PLO calls, i know i beat him but not sure about whale's real intention.
whale turns over QJo, PLO got baby flush. i win a nice pot but i don't know
if i over estimate whale.

| W********m 发帖数: 7793 | 4 Ur read seems inaccurate on the two players based on this hand PLO seems
loose passive. Whale seems LAG and likes thin value. But whale's read was
completely off vs 2 passive players on a flush board. There was simply no
value here with trips.

should bet a lot bigger on river and fold to a raise.

think ur action here followed through ur read.

here? I don't think over-calling a raise is good. when he check, he is not
sure whether his baby flush is good, then he should fold to a raise, right?
as for whale, I think he just does not understand relative hand strength and
board texture.

| h****5 发帖数: 191 | | f*****g 发帖数: 15860 | 9 whale is a very nice chinese but bad player. this is the 2nd time i sit at
the same table with him. he could easily dump $2K/night at 1/2NL, you can
imagine how he plays.
PLO is LAG, but selective too. i sit on his left all night and exchange a
lot of chips back and forth. in the end, we simply don't trouble each other
any more. he builds his $200 buy-in to $1.3K at one time. then all of a
sudden, make a string of stupid mistakes and got busted. i don't know about
his PLO background until someone tells me outside he's a notorious "action"
player.
initially i put whale on Qx in this hand or both of them. after PLO calls, i
know i beat him for sure. i have a hard time to decide whether i should
shove here (100% whale will call). i'm a little concerned that whale may
call all the way with his little PP and got lucky. there're not many Qx (x
is low) in his range, not even suited trash.
better
