we played cash and tourney for a few days, and talked a lot on the side.
one day she introduced me to her boyfriend who was playing at the next table
, an asian gentleman in his 50s.
later she told me he's a high-stake pro from CO and has been playing since
19 for his whole life.
then i said, "then he must be very good...blah blah"
she thought for a few secs (as if trying to quickly look back all those
years...) and then only replied with, "you really need a deep, really deep

the bahamas host pokerstar caribbean open every year, BUT, there's no poker
room there.
cruise ships, they all run one table poker, soft game but long waiting list.

都能看到旧人去，新人来...
in this game, in the long term, ppl all come and go, it takes a lot of luck
and disciplines to stay above water.
most of us don't really have a big roll (just for poker) or roll at all to
deal with swings or bad plays.
