wiki, and found he died this morning.
I thought he was just some old stupid rich guy. But in fact he had a
colorful life. Got phd in chemistry at age 24 and all self-made fortune. |

Very sad day. He really loved poker and treated everyone very nicely (except
when he goes on animal tilt). I saw him one of the rare times last year
when he wasnt hospitalized and he said he's done just about everything in
life but really wished he could have played a few more years of cards. He
didn't even have his signature 18-21 year old blond bombshell with him (he
brings them to poker games).
A tragic loss for Lakers. A sad loss for the poker community. A great loss
for sports and LA in general. Best wishes to his family and friends. |

games are built around. He also had true passion for the game and wasn't
just another rich fish. He's not there to be entertained. He's there to
beat you. But he tells a lot of interesting stories. He was a very important
figure in the LA poker scene, used to play 2-3 times a week except when he'
s out of town. |
