and helped to extend Hanshan's influence to the New Continent in 1960's when
those youngsters were revolting against the well beings.
Gary Snyder's translation of Han-shan's poem captured its spirit, he
intentionally made a difference between the name and the object, or the
signifier and the signified. In this way, he could show those well beings
the gap between their understandings and lifestyles.
