，所以请问这2个谷哪个更适合开车转，或者沿路就有些景色的，走路不超过30分钟。

发帖数: 1613 | 5 It is almost same amount of time to drive to DV or GC from LV.
Most DV's roads are paved and easy to drive. It has all different scenes
from desert, sand dune, crater, badwater lake, and other unique scenes. You
will not need to walk a lot to see the scenes.
But I guess same applies to GC. In GC, you just walk on the south rim, and
there are buses you can jump on and off from point to point. As long as you
do not walk on trails, it does not take much energy either. | b*********y

would choose grand canyon as it is more unique. and you can also see some
deserts along the way
but it is your choice to make. both are feasible

reachable scenes in DV. You may ask your parents if they want to see in
person first.

comment "you don't need to walk in DV".
LV to DV: 134 miles, 3.5 hours driving
LV to GC: 274 miles, 5 hours driving
Death valley
Canyons: If you want to see Golden Canyon and Mosac Canyon, you will
have to walk in it. Each canyon will take 1+ hour to reach its canyon end.
So it all depends on how far you want to walk into.
Sand dune: The dune is one mile away from Stovepipe visitor center.
It will take 2 hours to climb to the top of the dune, but you also have
choice to just walk on the bottom a little bit.
Driving: Scenes in DV are relatively far from each other. There are several
scenes next to each other in Furnace Creek visitor center.
That is the best bet for you within one day.
Otherwise, you may spend too much time on the road itself.
Many people don't like the word of "death", and I do have friends that
don't want to visit DV because of this word. :)
On the other hand, grand canyon might be more famous in China,
and sounds better than Death Valley?
Your parents may/will have a better time to explain their Grand Canyon
trip to their friends/relatives.
So, if I have to choose 1 out of the 2 for my parents, I will choose GC.
If it is for myself, I go for DV.
