我就是在收到receipt number后直接去ASC做打指纹的，由于做完之后uscis还没有把
fingerprint notice信寄出，所以也就真的不再给我寄了。以致于我从来都没有收到过
fingerprint notice。任何一个ASC，每天的最后一个小时是不安排预约的，目的是一
旦前面时间的预约有拖延，这一个小时可以用来把前面的处理完。所以，walk-in 的最
包靠时间就是最后一个小时去做。带上receipt number notice 那封信，做的时候就是
扫这信上的barcode.随便说一下我已经绿了并且上星期收到绿卡了。祝大家也尽快绿

最近去了一趟San Antonio，趁着热乎劲还没过，把收集到的资料简单总结一下，供大

早点绿～
（精简了，之前流水账太啰嗦）就列下我自己去之前想知道的问题吧：
1. 费城Walk in的非官方政策：处理完appointment的才考虑walk in。（打指纹的只有
一个工作人员，负责前台接待，发表格，查表格，打指纹。大妈在里面打指纹的时候，
前台没有人。黑大妈明显不喜欢walk in，很勉强得答应我们stand by。）
2. 所需时间：真正打指纹时间3个人一批，一批20分钟左右，先打完的先走。walk in
的要等，时间就不一定了。
3. 趴车：楼边有几个街趴，我们趴上了倒数第二个，1块钱1小时，限趴2小时。路对面
ms有个简陋的停车场，我网上查到说是flat rate，12刀，不知道是否正确。
4. 所需材料：驾照和通知单。可以带包和手机入内。需要填一张简单的表，所有信息
都在指纹通知单上有。我们是NJ的驾照，没有问题。
5. 拥挤程度：8点时打指纹等候室里除我们外3-5个人。我们等了40多分钟才给打指纹

大牛这里说the gain at either boundary is independent of the paths
是说当非对称的Random Walk撞到边界后，Y_i的值是和路径独立么？
可是如果Random Walk从0开始，上下边界是2和-2
那么路径1：up-up(hit)的Y(Path1)是(1-p)+(1-p)
然而路径2：up-down-up-up(hit)的Y(Path2)是(1-p)-p+(1-p)+(1-p)!=Y(Path1)啊？
也就是Y_i和路径不独立啊？是我理解错了么？
另外我理解最后一个式子是：
P(Random Walk hits up)*Y(Random Walk hits up)
+ P(Random Walk hits down)*Y(Random Walk hits down) = 0
不知道理解对了没有，因为我们还是要关心RW的撞击概率，而不是Y_i的撞击概率。

agent提到卖主有可能在我们final walk through 时还没有vacant. 合同里也没有提到
对final walk through 的任何要求, 只是说在closing时卖主要搬出并交钥匙.当时
inspection时卖主有大量东西堆在地下室和车库挡住了很大区域无法检查. 所以非常希
望在final walk through时房子能够empty.
我的agent提到也许/可能让我的律师在closing 时escrow一些钱当作押金,在我们做
2nd walk through 无任何问题后再支付.
我也听说有人一定要等到房子vacant 后做final walk through,甚至在closing前几个
小时才做完.我的情况是卖方非常希望按时close, 我的时间要求比较灵活. 但卖方拿着
我的deposit.

买房子也没多问。
现在买的房子差不多下周末可以close,今天和agent说要这周末做final walk through.
..agent说这个不是必需的。说一般final walk through都是double check for repair
...我们inspection 没查出什么大毛病，小毛病seller给了几百元credit,不负责修。
agent还说一般final walk through就是friendly visit between buyer and seller,
show you where the gabarge can is, how to get the mail....我们之前已经见过
seller了，也知道哪里去丢垃圾，哪里取信，所以就不用final walk through了
想问问大家，是这样的么？为什么我觉得应该是他们把东西都搬走，show me the

有一分钟不到，步行顶多五分钟，所以我对拒绝也做好了心理准备，所以无所谓，一大
早去了，大厅里大约有50-60 人左右，门口外面陆陆续续有人进来，因为能进大厅须门
口工作人员检查方可进入，我就直接和门口的officer 说是walk in, 人家没说什么，
直接让到门口外的一个红线那里等候，其他当天预约的陆陆续续先进，等了差不到一个
半小时，里面办理的也挺快，那个officer 就出来说只有我一个人能进，我lp 只能再
等，当时我们后面walk in 还有另外俩三个人，问能否和lp一块进去? 告知NO，那我也
只能先进去了，当时大厅的人数大约只有20人左右，没过10多分钟，我lp 也进来了，
我们俩个人从进来 填表，排队，然后打手印前后没用了10分钟，速度相当快，给俺打
手印的大妈还说你住的离这里好近，walk in蛮方便, 里面工作人员态度都很好， 服务
完还填份服务评价调查表放到他们那里的信箱里。整个过程很顺利，提醒同志们

一进门是安检。告诉安检的大叔我的appointment date 不是今天，解释了walk－in的
原因，大叔让我进去问给号的另一个大叔。同样告诉给号的大叔，大叔说今天特别busy
，你可以进去walk－in，但是很有可能等不到。也没给我号，叫我去问11号窗口的人要
号。
进去看见确实人很多，11号窗口两个mm都忙得不可开交。后来逮机会问了其中一个长得
很像中国人的mm可不可以walk－in，那个mm说今天太忙了，不行，但是可以给我
reschedule，然后我就reschedule了，总算没有完全白跑一趟。这个亚裔mm态度特别好
，很nice，赞一下。
这个mm还说星期1早上比较早的时候（他们8：00开门）去walk－in成功几率大些
，因为那个时候人少。
还有去那停车场要交7块钱。 |

发帖数: 506 | 35 就像前面冰激凌mm说的，传说中早walk-in打指纹，背景调查就能早开始，所以就有
walk-in的做法。不过貌似也有说法讲，打指纹和背景调查是独立的。
我觉得可能EB2/3的因为担心放水后排期倒退，所以会更多walk-in，这跟8月1号排期
current，大家争着7月31号寄出overnight，8月1号USCIS早上一开门就寄到一样的道理
，无非想尽一切办法加快485的处理，争取在退水前绿。

我2月底能完成入籍面试和宣誓，拿到公民纸。
因为国内家里有急事，所以希望能快些拿到美国护照。
网上咨询一番，被告知new york passport agency可以walk in加急护照，如果机票是2
天内的，当天就能拿到护照。早上很早walk in，7点半开门，但一般5点就很长的队了。
我住Bridgewater NJ，驾驶技术一般，而且也怵纽约市内高昂的停车费，所以准备坐火
车进城。
早上最早的一班火车4:39 am开出，到达New York Penn Station已经5:58 am了。
然后换乘地铁1号线到Houston St，网上查到的班次是5分钟一般，6分钟可到。
我从没坐过纽约市的地铁，买票和NJ Train一样么？

而等更久，因为他们要看当天来多少人，所以不太愿意一开门就让walk in插队进去，
对那些有预约的不公平。基本上就让你在门边上等，要是连续一阵都没什么人来，那就
放了。要是连续几个都是walk in的话，就都在门边排另一个小队等着。等的时间半小
时左右放一个吧，基本就是看有预约的那些一拨放了，出现断档，就放一个walk in的
。我三月份walk in，俩人一起去，分开两次放进去，中间隔了二十个号码。供你参考。 |

在门口等，前面是老印一家四口，两个小孩，进门被告知要等MANAGER来做决定，
MANAGER是个中年老墨大妈，除了老印一家，还有一个白人也是WALK-IN的，我们所有人
都被拒掉，上来就是把NOTICE上的RESCHEDULE一划，说有紧急情况不能来，没有关系，
去要求重新预约。一脸的阶级斗争，就知道根本就没有商量的余地。让我一度怀疑到底
有WALK-IN这种事吗？门口大门上赫然贴着大字 APPOINTMENT ONLY !! 本来昨天看到置
顶的帖子里WALK-IN还是成功的多，现在想想可能失败的都没有太上来报吧。不过还是
祝大家想去WALK-IN的多多的成功，我个人例子也不代表什么，每个中心都不同，一个
中心遇到的人也不同。
先给大家说说情况，也不枉我一大早开了一个多小时的车过去。我在 PHILADELPHIA的
那个中心。

我2月底能完成入籍面试和宣誓，拿到公民纸。
因为国内家里有急事，所以希望能快些拿到美国护照。
网上咨询一番，被告知new york passport agency可以walk in加急护照，如果机票是2
天内的，当天就能拿到护照。早上很早walk in，7点半开门，但一般5点就很长的队了。
我住Bridgewater NJ，驾驶技术一般，而且也怵纽约市内高昂的停车费，所以准备坐火
车进城。
早上最早的一班火车4:39 am开出，到达New York Penn Station已经5:58 am了。
然后换乘地铁1号线到Houston St，网上查到的班次是5分钟一般，6分钟可到。
我从没坐过纽约市的地铁，买票和NJ Train一样么？

发帖数: 178 | 40 新西兰的 track管理的很好，其中有九条尤其著名，称为 New Zealand's greatest
walks，北岛三条，南岛六条，南岛也确实更漂亮一些。

几年下来，走了一些 track，而 greatest walk最终只完成了三条，北岛两条，分别
是Lake Waikaremoana Track （95年12月），Tongariro Northern Circuit（97年12
月），南岛只走了Kepler Track（96年11月）。
北岛的应该算走完了，因为剩下的一条 Whanganui Journey是给 kayak用的。这几条
都是放暑假时候走的，平时要打工，无法安排太多的时间，一般都在附近走走。最向
往的一条是 Milford Sound Track，但差不多要提前一年预定。一般的 track都有通
用的pass，唯有great walk的pass有自己的特色（当然收费也多些），所以我每一张
都留着，时间都写在上面，争取有 |

也可能个人情况不一样。。hoho
其实我倒重来没有觉得'lose mental edge' when I started running after walking
break. 可能和习惯有关系.hehe. I walk a lot always :)
I feel fresher after walking break.
walking break magic主要是让肌肉小休息一下，这样可以跑长一点不over use.
当然这个和距离关系很大。没有必要add walking break into a 5k (for most of
people)
but marathon is quite different. (因为更容易肌肉疲劳？)
for somebody.. marathonm is not that LONG.
but for other... it is VERY LONG :D
or it is too long to keep certain pace all thru.

walking breaks consistently in the training (following Galloway's plans).
But I feel walking breaks do not work for me, walking uses muscles in a
different way than running, also walking has a negative mental impact on me
too. |

结果周五晚上，我和LG还在吃饭，就接到了朋友的电话约我们去打牌。
所以饭后，给AFU开了饭，匆匆带他出去上了厕所就出门了，skip了walk
结果周六一早，吃完饭出门，就发现AFU走路PULL的特别厉害。
但是还是坚持走了50分钟，然后上课简直就是HYPER到了极点。
周六晚上又去朋友家吃年夜饭和看春晚，又skip了walk.
结果今天早上又是拉车狗一只。所以赶紧陪玩，陪练消耗体力。
今天晚上的walk总算恢复了正常，可以踏踏实实在我脚边乐，不那么pull了
看来米大叔让大家walk自己的狗还是挺有道理的呀。 |

on a branch trying to have my zen moment. but then i saw a dirty bag on top
of the tree, blocking my view to the nice bright sky with light cloud.. well
, then i close my eyes counting 1 thru 100, then I open my eyes, the sky got
brighter, cloud thinner, still couldnt get my zen moment tho.
so I got down from the tree, walk to a river shore nearby, then lay my head
