Solo Climb Mt Whitney in Winter(2)
I got up early because it's too cold to stay in my bivy. It's still dark when
I packed up. I boiled a cup of water with my camping oven and melted some
chocolate and candy bar. After the breakfast I loaded up my backpack and hit
the trail. I had a GPS bound on the belt of the pack. I bought 3 packs of
Panasonic 'extra high power' batteries last night. It's soon clear that each 2
of the batteries lasted only 10 minutes. I cursed Panasonic the whole morning
