Systems filed for bankruptcy protection and its automotive assets are being
acquired by Johnson Controls for $125 million.
The announcement Tuesday comes one day after A123 warned in a regulatory
filing that it likely would miss some debt payments and could be headed for
bankruptcy court.
A123, based in Waltham, Mass., got a $249 million U.S. government grant to
help it build a battery factory in Michigan.
The bankruptcy filings do not include A123's subsidiaries outside of the U.S

haha, right on.
Only the people who do not own the money in the first place would waste it
like this. They feel the no pain even if no gain.
Time to kick their ass off the white house, forever!
And odumba's fundraisers should be confiscated to compensate for all the
poor policy that wasted taxpayers money.

caompanies. they really do not have the technology close to any type of
commercialization or even a beta prototype.
A123's stock rose to $25 high within three months of its IPO. The good news
for me is that my broker bought me some shares at IPO price then we sold
them at its close to peak price. Anyone having some informaiton for this
copany knows it is a piece of crap. But once agian to make money in stocks
does not matter.
And the government does not care either.
Manay of these companies can exist solely because the massive government
fundings (free money) or government-backed no or very low interest loans.
This is just like in 19990s when the Democrats forced banks to loan mortgage
to poor family who can not afford such loans. At the end of the day, these
poor families are the ones to suffer: foreclore and loosing money that was
paid toward the mortgage and interests.
