For the first time since April, Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar
Tsarnaev appeared in public for the first time since the attacks on
Wednesday. Just after 11 a.m., as Tsarnaev arrived at Boston’s Moakley
Federal Courthouse, supporters of the accused terrorist actor chanted “
justice for Jahar” and “free Jahar.” Tsarnaev’s supporters also argued
with pedestrians who took offense to the display.
According to reports, about one dozen supporter clad in “Free Jahar”
shirts and bearing supportive signs converged on the courthouse on Wednesday.
“I’m here to show Dzhokhar support, to let him know there are thousands of
people worldwide that do believe his innocence,” Freetown resident Mary
Churback told WBZ-TV.
“I just think so many of his rights were violated,” added 23-year-old
Lacey Buckley who traveled to Boston from her home in Washington to show her
support for Tsarnaev. “They almost murdered an unarmed kid in a boat.” |
