So how does this video explain the Asian Conundrum? You had Japanese and
Chinese immigrants come here in the 1800s. Many were denied jobs due to
racism and discrimination. Many who found work ended up dying due to harsh
working conditions. In the 1940s we rounded up thousands of Japanese
citizens and put them into concentration camps because we thought they were
a threat.
Do these men and women ask for reparations? Do they ask for handouts? Do
they allow themselves to devolve into poverty and crime? No. The
descendants of these Japanese and Chinese immigrants are among our most
successful and prosperous citizens.
