have time to watch the video you attached. But GS does not regulate rating
agencies, GS does not regulate mortgage loans.
Neither Bear Stern nor Lehman are commercial banks. AIG, Goldman are not
commercial banks either.

更重要的是
如果国会搞Glass-Steagall
就表明了一个坚定的对花姐监管的立场
各种别的严厉的监管也会出台
2008年，出问题的不仅仅是投机客
商业银行也被卷入
这就是为什么问题这么严重
政府为什么不得不用大家的钱去bail out bankers.
Glass-Steagall 就是一块试金石
支支吾吾不敢支持Glass-Steagall的

I already explained to you, GS did not cause the subprime crisis. Subprime
crisis is created by the whole financial sector, including everyone, even if
you have split Citibank into commercial bank and investment bank and
insurance before 2006, it will not prevent it from happening.
Let me explain to you, commercial banks give subprime loans to people who
does not qualify high grade loans or even do not qualify for any type of
loan. investment bank pack all type of loans together into investment
products, rating agencies give high investment grade "AAA" grade to the
package. and insurance insured the cash flow behind these investment
products.
This has very little to do with Glass Steagall, if anything at all.
You can just open you mouth and say.

blaming too big to fail is kind of stupid. because if US indeed keep
investment bank away from commercial bank. and all these investment bank die
. US will lose its power to China in 2009. |

共党的麦侃也勉强算是
但是他比三得四和Warren要温柔多了

Shanghai, HK, Tokyo, Singapore) etc. to be world financial center is the
reality.
More regulation plus the current down turn of financial sectors could kill
financial industry in US. this is the last thing you want.
it is easy to blame them not be able to regulate/control wall street. But if
you are exposed to all the sh*t happening, you probably will choose the
same thing, "leave it to the next president"
dodd frank may be the best you can get. |
