then in your .Xdefault file add a line like this:
xset fp+ /your/chinese/font/path

there should be some file like:
fonts.alias fonts.dir gb16fs.bdf gb16fs.pcf.gz
Or, you can download Cxterm and use the fonts file of it.

Ok,I have kind of same problem.
I got the directory containning fonts.alias fonts....
Then what should do next????
xset +fp ????
